My work follows the natural intuition extended from the spirit, down to the hand, and then activated by the brush. I consider my pieces introspective explorations in which color energies instinctively flow in rhythmic patterns; spans of soothing timelessness are created due to the repetitious nature of each brushstroke. I believe in the revitalizing power of color and often meditate upon new palettes, searching for the cascade of painted ghosts within each piece. Often fragmented, these watercolors appear as mixed media swatches and are the basis for further explorations whether on paper, through sketchbooks, or canvas. Themes of rituals, feminine/masculine mystique, intimacy, and acute existentialism often occur playfully across different mediums throughout my artwork or organized in conceptual happenings through the studio.
